Indian selectors have made a big mistake by not sending RP Singh and Shreesanth to NZ tour. Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma need a good support from third pacer in the team. For me I am not able to understand how they have missed RP Singh who has good record overseas and who was the best bowler in the tour to Australia and England.
Selecting Irfan Pathan and Dhaval Kulkarni doesn’t make sense as RP Singh and Shreesanth have the experience and better record overseas. They both have pace and zip in their bowling. Both hit the deck hard which is the important thing on the tour to NZ. Irfan Pathan has lost his skill of swing and pace is also not their in his bowling. If any injury happens to any of Zaheer Khan or Ishant Sharma then Indian team has no one to fill their place.
Like Ishant Sharma has injured his shoulder while fielding in 2nd T20 at Wellington and he doesn’t comeback to bowl his remaining 2 over. Now it’s still not clear how big the injury is and will he be able to continue or tour is over for him. Hope tour is not over for him and he will be fit to continue the tour otherwise it will be big problems for Indian team.
