Losing 2 matches in a row and of the format in which they are world champion. The matches which India have lost are also in the New dress of team which was released few weeks ago. This may be coincidence but we Indians are bit superstitious about the colors and many things. Indian team was on great run of winning in the old uniform so losing in new dress it can put our mind like this new dress is not lucky.

Every team which have changed their dress has not good time in the field. The best example of that is Australia who has also changed his dress recently has lost his first position in ODI rankings.

But we hope that this losing streak end here and Indian proves that dress has nothing to do with result and its the better performance that ultimately matters.

Zaheer Khan and Ishant Sharma need a good support from third pacer in the team. For me I am not able to understand how they have missed RP Singh who has good record overseas and who was the best bowler in the tour to Australia and England.

Selecting Irfan Pathan and Dhaval Kulkarni doesn’t make sense as RP Singh and Shreesanth have the experience and better record overseas. They both have pace and zip in their bowling. Both hit the deck hard which is the important thing on the tour to NZ. Irfan Pathan has lost his skill of swing and pace is also not their in his bowling. If any injury happens to any of Zaheer Khan or Ishant Sharma then Indian team has no one to fill their place.

Like Ishant Sharma has injured his shoulder while fielding in 2nd T20 at Wellington and he doesn’t comeback to bowl his remaining 2 over. Now it’s still not clear how big the injury is and will he be able to continue or tour is over for him. Hope tour is not over for him and he will be fit to continue the tour otherwise it will be big problems for Indian team.

He has to prove himself that he can do better even overseas. It will be a big task ahead of him as only 5 players out of 16 member’s squad to tour has experience of New Zealand’s conditions.

Even the past record is also not supporting Indian Captain Dhoni. As India has not won test series in New Zealand from last 41 years and has never won ODI Series but Dhoni and Indian coach has the belief that they can do it this time round.

“We’re going there knowing that we can win,” Kirsten said. “We have a good balance in the team and we know that our team can perform in any condition and on any surface.”

Let us hope Mahendra Singh Dhoni team will bring good news from New Zealand.
